Frios Gourmet Pops, featuring Popsicle-like frozen pops made with natural ingredients, has opened in the Greenwood District.
It is located at 104 N. Greenwood Ave. across from ONEOK Field.
“This is the first Frios Gourmet Pops in Oklahoma,” said manager Michelle Blocker.
Frios Gourmet Pops’ local franchise owner is Angela Myrick. The company, based in Gadsden, Alabama, has 24 locations found mostly in Southern states.
According to its website:
“We believe a quality product starts with the freshest possible ingredients. So from the beginning, we sought out local farmers and suppliers that could help provide our produce and dairy. We have cultivated outstanding relationships with farmers all over the southeast and continue to grow our network.
“Our unique flavors are developed by a team of passionate foodies, chemistry geeks, artsy pixel pushers and organic farmers that are dedicated to producing the best pop possible. We are our own biggest critics and are satisfied with nothing less than phenomenal. We stress about the details and obsess over quality.”
Frios Gourmet Pops offers 15 flavors a day, with a number of others that rotate seasonally.
The pops are either milk-based or fruit-based. Among the current flavors are mango orange, cookies and milk, banana pudding and root beer float.
“They cost $3 a pop, pun intended,” Blocker said.
The store is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday. The phone number is 918-949-9879.
