Bringing brain freeze, sticky fingers and a touch of nostalgia wherever it goes, frios gourmet pops has announced that its newest location is opening in Dayton. Sharing the vibe of its colorful tie dye van, tasty gourmet frozen treats and a reminder to slow down and remember the carefree days of childhood, frios will soon bring its one-of-a-kind dessert experience to Dayton through local resident and entrepreneur, Augustina DeLeon.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be rolling out a frios mobile truck in the Buckeye state to show local residents why our motto stands true – ‘the best things in life are frios,’” says DeLeon, the brand’s first franchise owner in Ohio. “My very first bite of a frios solidified my desire to be a part of the brand as a franchise owner. The simple act of enjoying a frios truly has the power to take you back in time and remember what it felt like to be a kid. I can’t wait for the Dayton community to try one for themselves and to share that magic with them.”
Prior to opening the frios business, DeLeon worked for 18 years in the broadcast media industry as a researcher for several well-known news outlets such as FOX and CBS. After that, she spent five years in the event marketing industry working across the country in Colorado, Tennessee and Los Angeles. These experiences uniquely prepared DeLeon with the marketing, operations and management skills needed to bring the brand’s fun and fresh take on handmade frozen treats to Southern Ohio. She plans to own and operate the truck with the help of her husband, Armando DeLeon, who formerly served in the United States military.

Each frios owner, also known as a Happiness Hustler, pledges to donate and contribute to a local charitable partners upon rolling out a new mobile location. In addition to the company’s already established, nationwide philanthropy partnerships, DeLeon will also carry the tradition to lead goodwill initiatives in the Dayton community.
